Game: The Division Beta
I'm wandering the Dark Zone alone and I'm scared as hell of a gang of players jumping me and stealing my stuff. Specifically at one point I look down the street and see a gang of players jumping another solo player and I immediately run in the opposite direction. Few minutes pass and I go into a department store populated with high level NPC enemies. I start to fight them and as I am, a random player also running the DZ solo enters the store and helps me take down the NPCs. When its over, we stare at one another and I throw up the "hands up dont shoot emote" and we kinda both read each other's minds. "You cool?" "We cool bro." So we start looting the weapons we found and out of my periphery, guess what I see? That same gang of players from earlier that were attacking other players had made their way into the store. I look over at the random that helped me and again, we read each other's minds. "We still cool bro?" "YEP." "Cool. RUN!!" We both leap out of the store just as the gang start shooting at us. Me and this random are dodging bullets and running down the street as the gang continues trying to shoot us. We run through another group of NPC high level enemies and they start shooting at us. Long story short, me and this random make it to an extraction point, heal one another, extract our loot, bid our farewells and go our separate ways.
Game: Battlefield 4
Playing online in one server and through the course of like 3 or 4 matches, there was this one player on the other team that was just a pain in my ass. Every time I started getting on a decent streak, they'd end it. However, if they started getting hot, I'd end it. We just went back and forth. Didnt matter what class we were playing either. Could be sniper duels, could be tank duels, could be just running into them randomly and gunning it out at close quarters. Every match, we were usually near the top of the scoreboard on our teams. After about 3 or 4 matches, the guy finally leaves the server. I then get a message from the guy over Xbox Live saying "Good games man, you're a good player." I couldn't help but smile because I half expected some angry raging message calling me every insult or racial slur under the sun. Ended up sending the guy a reply returning the sentiment. Mutual respect and gamesmanship man.
Anytime I'm playing Ana and I have my ULT ready. I rarely have my headset on when I play online with randoms but whenever I have my ult, I usually spam the message that my ult is ready. I can recall plenty of times where I'll stand in front of our spawn point spamming that message and a teammate playing Genji, or Soldier 76, or Reaper or someone stops in front of me, hits the "my ultimate is ready" and "acknowledge" message and we both run into the fray. They know what's up and as soon as we see the enemies, I hit them with the Ana boost, they pop their ultimate and I watch the kill assists just rack up.
