The openess of Far Cry and playing the map as you like to play was awesome. While I did burn out on it a bit, opening up the map, doing the radio towers, and then destroying outposts after killing the alarms with a sniper rifle just made my day.

I absolutely loved that. So this. I can see myself getting into another Fry Cry -- as Horizon gave me some of that nostalgia...

The only Far Cry game i have ever played was Blood Dragon, so call me when they make a Blood Dragon 2 or something just as silly.

Let's go! Modern day Montana seems like a cool place to set a video game. Took a break with the series with Primal but I loved the hell out of Far Cry 4 so I'm really looking forward to this!

The only Far Cry I've played was Primal, and I loved the checkbox nature of it. I'm eager to play the more familiar, shooter version of the franchise.

2, 3, and 4 were fun games. I'm definitely up for another one that isn't cave men. I kinda wish the western setting was legit.

Could be a great time sink if the setting and story are interesting enough. If they can come up with a cleverly batshit reason to have crazy Far Cry antics in modern day Montana, I'll give it a shot.

Probably not. I am sick of these open world games that act like they are deep but are really shallow and just have you doing the same thing over and over again at different points on 1 map.

Seems cool, hopefully it evolves the formula more. I would be very keen to exploring some Montana wilderness.

Far Cry 2 was the first real modern open-world game I ever played. While the game was not perfect I enjoyed it very much. Far Cry 3 was crazy good!! When Far Cry 4 rolled around I just got the feeling like I had been there done that since it just felt like 3 only in the Himalayas. Primal I skipped entirely because I felt it would rely on too many of the series' characteristics that I never really cared much for, namely the hunting.

I think the proposed setting for Far Cry 5 is interesting. I hope with it comes some unique gameplay elements that makes it feel a little fresher. I won't lie, I think the 1900's american frontier setting that was rumored sounded like a step in the right direction and was something I would have loved to play despite Red Dead Redemption 2 being right around the corner. But a modern-day frontier could be just as interesting if done right.

Funny how a setting will impact whether or not I'll play a game, but that's what's going to happen with this one.

I'm permanently burnt out on the series. I had my good time with number 3, beating it three times, and completing all trophies and achievements. I was also a Co-op maniac.

It doesn't matter anymore to me if another good one comes out. I need new experiences in my life, otherwise I see no point in playing video games.

Loved 3 and thought 4 was just a not good version of 3. I never played Primal because I needed a break from Far Cry but I'm ready for this one. American settings are always welcome.

They need a 2-3 years break from this franchise, after Primal im starting to think that they have a list of places and era of history and there just making them one by one, they need something new and amazing to get my money, they are competing with shadow of war and Red Dead Redemption 2.
