Very interested in this, curious to see how the open world is (what animals and landscaped we can expect) hopefully the map is not too samey throughout the different areas. I like the mystery of the religious cult idea. Makes me think of Dying Light The Following DLC.

Man, this game looks fucking boss. The whole concept is really cool and I hope they put some thought into it and really nail it out of the park. I'm sure there is going to be an avalanche of think pieces about the game leading up to and after release, which might get tiresome, but I'm still really juiced to play this game. Definitely seems like it has the potential to be the strongest Far Cry game.

(Honestly though...they go from Far Cry Primal to this? Talk about a complete change in direction lol)

There is a reason is was called Far Cry Primal and not Far Cry 5.

Haha exactly. Two completely different games. Far Cry Primal doesn't even feel like a "Far Cry" game at this point.

I need to see the gameplay to even consider buying it, if my predictions are right and we get ether God of war or Bloodborne 2 on February I'll have to pass on Far Cry 5.

I'm digging everything about this except for the overwhelming amount of religious themes. That's going to be a bore to sit through.

The February release date sucks ass.

Too soon after finishing Outlast 2? From what I understand it was full of deranged religious cultists as well.

Yeah Outlast 2 wasn't as interesting to me for that reason. Plus it just wasn't good in general.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have games that focus on religion, I can see why it would be interesting for some people. I just find it nauseating. I'm definitely going to get Far Cry 5, but I'll most likely not care about the story too much.

Once the setting was leaked, it was pretty easy to figure out what the theme of the game was going to be without even needing the trailer. Way too far out to tell whether this will be a day one game, though I'm almost positive I'll play it when it's $20.

These games are never anything special, but they're fun.

There aren't many games more special than Far Cry 3. It's one of the greats!

Dude this looks awesome. I love stories involving religious nutjobs and cults. This will be my first Far Cry and I'm pumped to play it.

This is one of my most anticipated games now. Of all the FPS reveals the past few weeks, this one is clicking with me the most. Destiny, Battlefront and COD can suck it. Although I am actually pretty interested in Battlefront and COD this year, so that's saying a lot. Could be a good few months for FPS, especially if Wolfenstein gets announced for Q4/Q1 too.

Pass : I always think that the Far Cry games look really cool but I never actually enjoy playing them. My favourite part is all the animals but the story and gameplay never engaged me so I'm going to pass on this one.
