1. Forever - (hed)P.E.
2. Glory - Britney Spears
3. The Stage - Avenged Sevenfold
4. Hardwired...To Self-Destruct - Metallica
5. Starboy - The Weekend
6. Anti - Rihanna
7. Revolution Radio - Green Day
8. Dangerous Woman - Ariana Grande
9. Dystopia - Megadeth
10. Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie - Volbeat

With all the hype surround Lemonade I was expecting something amazing, but I listened to it twice and didn't find one song that spoke to me or gave me chills. Sure she has a nice voice, but meh that album was just boring to me.

I'm taking note of every album mentioned in this thread an putting them all into a giant google doc to go through over the next few weeks.

That being said, my selection would be these choices:

RÜFÜS - Bloom
Hands Like Houses - Dissonants
Babymetal - Metal Resistance
Digitalism - Mirage
Boys Noize - Mayday
Of Mice & Men - Cold World
Airbourne - Breakin' Outta Hell
Craig David - Following My Intuition
Tkay Maidza - Tkay

Thats all I could think of at the moment. Last year was much more of a 'great single songs' years rather than a 'great albums' year

Mine was Painting of a Panic Attack, an album by the Scottish band, Frightened Rabbit.

This year, it's A Fever Dream by Everything Everything.

Frank Ocean - Blonde
Isaiah Rashad - The Sun's Tirade
Hands like Houses - Dissonants (Redback, ma man)
Run the Jewels 3
A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service
untitled unmastered - Kendrick Lamar
Weezer - The White Album
Beyonce - Lemonade
Chance the Rapper - Coloring Book
Biffy Clyro - Ellipsis
Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion Side B
Taking Back Sunday - Tidal Wave
Jimmy Eat World - Integrity Blues

Random collection of honorable mentions:
Panic! I love, and their last album had some great spots but also felt short. Kanye's Pablo also had some incredible highs, but for me some low lows too that just didn't resonant with me. Still need to get around to Danny Brown's last work, might add that in from the bits I did hear. Awaken my Love! from Childish was good, but not great in my book. Also should listen to Radiohead's last album too. Ariana Grande also had a solid, albeit standard, pop album with Dangerous Woman. RHCP with The Getaway was also good, but not great. Blank Face LP from Schoolboy Q was good as well, but I just didn't love it, felt like Oxymoron was just so much better. Glass Animals with How to Be A Human Being was also pretty solid, but I just can't fully love everything from Glass, they have some great songs and some redundant ones in my book. J. Cole also dropped 4 Your Eyes Only, which still makes me think that he will remain a solid, but unremarkable rapper who could excel if he'd improve his song writing. Post Malone is kinda the same way, but he has promise.

How do you think Ellipsis compare to their previous albums? If you've heard them, that is :)

Ughhh man I honestly don't know, because Ellipsis is so different you know?

I will say that I became a fan when Only Revolutions released (shout out to when Spotify advertised some great unknown-ish music, also how I discovered Kendrick Lamar when GDMC first dropped, before Radio blew him up). I did eventually retrace and visit Puzzle and Blackened Sky, and liked them both, but I think I like their newer direction more personally. That said, I grew to love Opposites. Yeah, it wasn't perfect, but the Deluxe album has some fantastic songs (Modern Magic Formula is still my alarm for when I need to wake up after snoozing too much). I think in comparison, I think Ellipsis was a daring new attempt for them to expand and evolve their sound again, which for them most part worked for me. Animal Style, Wolves of Winter, Howl, Don't Won't Can't, ect. are all great to me. So compared to their discography, I think Ellipsis is a cool new direction of their sound, while still kind of keeping their sound too (I almost think of it as was Queens of the Stone Age do; keep the core fundamentals, but flex their creative side a bit and try the unique and unknown just to see what happens, and I appreciate and love that).

Long ass response, but not many people discuss Biffy NickNasty

Yeah, those songs are great. But I think I'd like almost anything they make, I just fucking love Simon Neill's voice :)
However, I don't think I've listened to Ellipsis as much as Only Revolutions and Opposites, so that might indicate that I like it a bit less? I don't think Ellipsis had as many great songs and those two albums, but there are still some great songs on there. I fucking love In The Name of the Wee Man :)
Can't wait to see what they do next, it's always exciting, since you can't be sure about the direction they are going in.

In a way, I think it's their most "in the mood" album, if that makes sense. Because I am the same way; I haven't listened to it a ton since, but when I get in the mood to listen to it man it is something. Revolutions and Opposites, on the contray, had songs that pretty much could be listened to whenever and were easier listens I think. But agreed, they should have a pretty sweet 2019/2020 whenever their next project releases.
