The following list consist of anime series I own and recommend. I haven't seen everything I own, (Yea, I know) and not everything made the cut and I'm not sure what streaming service would carry them.

  • Bamboo Blade
  • Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad
  • Berserk (original only)
  • Black Lagoon
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Claymore
  • Eden of the East
  • Death Note
  • Escaflowne
  • Fullmetal Alchemist & Brotherhood
  • Golden Boy (This is a Nick and Tim anime all the way)
  • Gunslinger Girl
  • GTO
  • Hellsing (Original and Remake)
  • Hell Girl (Only seen the first season but I loved it)
  • Hetalia (This one might be up Colin's alley. As its political satire)
  • Mushi Shi
  • Love Hina
  • Last Exit
  • Neon Genesis
  • Noein
  • Outlaw Star
  • Rumbling Hearts
  • Red Garden
  • Samurai 7
  • Samurai Champloo
  • Suzuka
  • Shigurui Death Frenzy
  • Kids on a Slope
  • Rurouni Kenshin
  • InuYasha
  • Welcome to the NHK
  • X
  • Trigun
  • Ninja Scroll
  • Colorful (Another Nick and Tim type of joint)
  • Mobile Suit Gundam/Z
  • Naruto (I own the first series. Box sets 1 - 10 everything after that is filler. I don't own Naruto Shippuden. Though I have seen a big chunk of it... I can't recommend it really as filler is all over the place)
  • Dragon Ball / Z (of course)

An interesting list with some lesser known shows that I enjoyed (Samurai 7 hardly seems mentioned even though I quite enjoyed it, also Kimi ga Nozomu Eien/Rumbling Hearts and of course Suzuka).

A few omissions though that I want to make sure you're aware of in case you want to give them a try:

Shinsekai yori (From the New World)
Samurai X Trust and Betrayal/Tsuiokuhen (you mentioned rk but have you seen this OVA?)
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom
Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku
RahXephon
Usagi Drop
Chihayafuru

I know you have a backlog but I think you might enjoy at least some of these. Especially recommend the first two.

I just wanna say that all your recommendations are pretty much great, and I heartily agree with them all, but... I wanted to share the fact that I recently bought this manga for my 11-year old daughter and she hasn't managed to quite put it down. One of the best decisions I've ever made, I guess.

Seeing the earlier impressive list , I figure I should also put the list of the anime I have seen almost all of or all of, I might be forgetting one or two, but whatever.

► Show Spoiler

my recommend list personally would be the top 10 I put down a while back

Any thoughts on Amazon Strike? I'm not sure what to make of it. Do people want another streaming anime service?

I just finished the Hunter x Hunter (2011) series last night and I don't know what else to do with my life.

I think it's a pretty nice alternative to Crunchy Roll that could compete and improve both services. Sure, it's a supplemental monthly payment which sucks - but you're doing that with something like Crunchy Roll as well. I also think it makes sense for Amazon as they've been talking about rolling out special packages to add on to Amazon Prime for certain genres and such. It makes me happy anime is one of the first ones to be brought on board.

It'll take more than saving $2 a month to switch from Crunchy Roll for me though. They had me from the beginning. :)

Off the top of my head. I picked ones that didn't have to many episodes. So you could finish in a couple days. Unless you want to watch the entire dragon ball series! Lol

Black Lagoon
Burst Angel
Bastard!
Ergo Proxy
Heat Guy J
Ninja Scroll
Trinity Blood
Witchblade
X

Some old school stuff
Bubblegum Crisis
Dirty Pair
Iria

Thank you for the recommendations, that is very helpful. I have only seen X and bubblegum from the list, and haven't heard of a few which is awesome. I watched Trinity Blood, it was pretty good, it reminded me a lot of Trigun, especially the main hero and villain and how they were like vash and knives and even with a character like Rem

Just confirmed that with my wife (Indonesian). It's totally real. Apparently semen isn't just a place - semen is a sticky wet substance that hardens over time, and is used in construction portilloPure1 (semen is Indonesian for cement)
