Haven't had a chance to check out everything yet. Hopefully I will on my next day off. I agree it's a little underwhelming though.

Yupp. Not quite as good as it looks. Nice world building and decent characters. It is far, far too short however. Things barely get going by episode 13, when it ends. If this gets a second season, it could be pretty good, but as it stands, it's merely ok.

It's most similar to Log Horizon, but lacks Log's level of depth and intricacy. I'd recommend that instead.

Might have to check it out. It's been on my list but thats the problem with lists. Never really knowing what exactly to go to first.

Been watching two shows.

The first is Kuromurkuro on Netflix. Fun little fish out of water tale about a samurai from an alternate fantasy history Japan that gets transported to present day where he continues his fight against robotic ogres that he waged in the past. Along the way he befriends a young girl who looks exactly like the princess he swore to protect in the past. Fun fish out of water tale, decent mecha action (the ogres are giant robots and the samurai has his own pilotable robotic ogre), and occasionally funny moments.

The second is Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Season 2. Picks up a few years after the end of the 1st season. Retains the same brutal, mecha action as the first season, including the violent melee using Gundam Barbatos and its cold, ruthless pilot, Mikazuki Augus.

Aside from those two, I've been flipping between rewatching the original Super Dimensional Fortress Macross and rewatching Majestic Prince. Macross because I've had an urge to rewatch the golden age of Macross after the fun but flawed newest entry of Macross Delta. Majestic Prince primarily because it was a super fun series and they recently released a new episode a year after the series ended in order to bridge the gap/prepare fans for the Majestic Prince movie releasing in Japan in a few weeks.

I just watched Re Life on CrunchyRoll. So good! I hope there's a second season for it!

Also checked out Keijo. It's so ridiculous, but somehow so funny and I can't stop watching.

Agree with ReLIFE! I honestly wasn't expecting much from the premise, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The humour was spot on, one of the few anime that made me chuckle out loud. Clear character development throughout, a very competent protagonist and it didn't take the cheap fanservice route that many shows take. I'd love a season 2, but I'm also perfectly happy with where it ended.

I binge-watched a LOT of anime the past week. I saw 91 days (also very good), Mob Psycho 100 (decent, but nowhere near as good as One Punch Man), and Ichigo 100% (which was pretty crap).

I just watched Ghost in the Shell, the original movie, for the first time. And while it was interesting, I found it kind of lackluster. It's probably because I am watching it 20 years later and most of the concepts have been used many times since the movie came out that it doesn't have the same resonance as say the Matrix did.
