It's a lot different than Dexter! ;-) I'm enjoying it so far.

Planning out 60 episodes over 6 seasons seems pretty ambitious. I am very intrigued though. I'll probably give this a look at some point in the next couple of weeks.

Is there any violence or anything? I don't need it to be Game of Thrones level but it would be nice if there was some sort of consequences involved.

Theres no violence lol.

Its about Queen Elizabeth, starts out with her wedding, her children, her becoming Queen, being the monarch, and the politics and pressures around it. I doubt they will find a point in her history where she got into a gun battle.

Production quality is as good as any movie coming out of the UK. 4k looks great.

So I'm four episodes in now and I am really loving this show. I'm liking it way more than I thought I would. Claire Foy's portrayal of the Queen is really great, not to mention the rest of the cast is pretty good as well. I'm also a big fan of the show's musical score. Really elevates certain moments and adds brevity.

So I spent most of the day marathoning the back half of the season and I was pleasantly pleased all the way through. This was a really great show. Now that I have finished it I see why it was one of the big winners at the Golden Globes. Claire Foy is fantastic in her role. I was just happy with all the casting. The music and presentation is perfect. I can only imagine how expensive this show was to make. Anyway, I'm not eagerly awaiting the seasons to come. The final episode left us on a lot of different cliffhangers with a lot of relationships and matters hanging in balance.

Dexter” star Michael C. Hall and “Quarry” actress Jodi Balfour will play U.S. President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie Kennedy in the second season of Netflix’s “The Crown”.

Another new addition is that of Matthew Goode as Princess Margaret’s bohemian photographer husband Tony Armstrong-Jones.

Peter Morgan created the hit series which tells the inside story of Queen Elizabeth II’s early reign as the fragile social order established after WWII breaks apart.

The second season is currently in production and will run the Suez Crisis to the downfall of Prime Minister Harold Macmillan.

Hmm...not who I would have expected to play the Kennedy's but I think they will fit the part. Really pumped for this new season.

I love it. After each episode, I looked up all the characters and historical events in the show. It managed to get me interested in British history.
